NEW CAR DEALERS OF UTAH’S GOOD WHEELS PROGRAM DONATES $1,000 TO THE HUNTSMAN CANCER INSTITUTE
Salt Lake City–Good Wheels, the charitable program of the New Car Dealers of Utah, has donated $1,000 to the Huntsman Cancer Institute through a special fundraising event organized by bicyclist, Jeff Warren. The Huntsman 140 was held June 16. Participants could choose to ride 25, 75 or 140 miles. The ride began in Delta, Utah and finished at the Huntsman Cancer Institute in Salt Lake City on the University of Utah campus. Warren, a cancer survivor, started fundraising for the Huntsman Cancer Institute several years ago. He rode from Reno to the Huntsman Cancer Institute the week before the June 16 event. Bountiful Mazda had a team in the Huntsman 140 and initiated this donation. Good Wheels is supported by 150 new car dealers in 37 communities.
According to Craig Bickmore, executive director of the New Car Dealers of Utah, “The Huntsman Cancer Institute treats thousands of patients each year. Moreover, the organization’s ongoing research could one day serve an important role in eliminating several types of cancer within the not-too-distant future. We were delighted to be able to make this donation to the Huntsman Cancer Institute this year.”
The New Car Dealers of Utah is a statewide membership-based organization formed in 1923 to promote, protect and advance the general welfare of the new car and truck franchises throughout Utah.
